It's important to map the lineage of "HEY". The version here is a superb remix of the original song which evolved across two ace albums: "GLAM" and "GLAM2".
Originally written and produced by The Talking Tears - namely Jack Zenith from Madison, Wisconsin - "Hey" is an incredibly haunting song. Such gothic quality pervades Zenith's work. He is uber-inventive and gifted but seemingly modest. When talking about this amazing incarnation of "HEY" he says GHST MDRN a post-rock genius from Canada "totally reimagined it". Having given GHST carte blanche he now "likes it more than the original".
Whatever the case may be, I'll stick my neck out ...
1] Jack Zenith is very talented.
2] GHST MDRN is very talented.
